For the past 28 years Govt. Model Engineering College has empowered its students to pave the way for excellence and innovation in the field of engineering and technology. The institute is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), and was the first self-financing college to be established by the Government of Kerala under the aegis of the institute of Human Resource Development (IHRD). The IEEE Student Brnach is a vibrant bunch of student volunteers from this institute.
